Clown and Voice: A weekend immersion of deep play, vocal and physical explorations!

The Clown and Voice retreat invites you to enter the space of the ridiculously sublime! We will dig into the depths of our heart through song, physical exploration, improvisation, mask work, spontaneous song creation, circle singing, and serious play!

Curious about your inner clown? Always wanted to discover the parts of your voice through improvisation and divine play? Coming to the Kiva this August, clown and voice teachers Justine Williams and Katie Down are holding a two and a half day, immersive and ridiculously fun retreat that will invite connection, curiosity, creativity and FUN as we explore all the ways our voices and bodies create character and clown! Come nurture your hearts and funny bones. No music or theatre experience necessary – just curiosity and willingness to dig into the crevices of our voice to find the clown within! Sing to the trees, run through the woods, play with sounds and gesture, open the heart! A delicious communal dinner is included at the Stone Ridge Orchard on Saturday night.

For more information and to sign up, scan the qr code on the flyer or visit www.soundwellcenter.com/workshopsandevents  and click on the retreat there.

We have sliding scale options for those in need and we so look forward to playing and singing with you this summer!
